Developing the Masterplan for Jabal Abu Makhrooq

Jabal Abu Makhrooq is considered one of the most important sites in the city of Riyadh, with great historical and natural fame. The design competition for Jabal Abu Makhrooq aims to provide a preliminary study and architectural and urban design solutions for the development of the site and to support the strategic plan of the Riyadh Municipality in the aspects related to extraordinary projects.The idea intends to conserve the site’s historical significance while also advancing the entertainment and cultural events business in line with the 2030 Vision. The design also attempts to address the site’s current issues, such as the vertical and horizontal movement cycle, green areas, entertainment venues, parking lots, public services, rental housing, pedestrian movement, and housing. The proposed solution replicates the automatic agglomeration of the work environment in order to achieve the highest level of structural compatibility, integration, and identification with the spirit of the location.
